Therapy for Depression and Treatment-Resistant Depression in San Marino

Serving Pasadena, the San Gabriel Valley, Northeast Los Angeles, and all of California via Telehealth

Depression Can Take Many Forms…

Persistent sadness, loss of interest, fatigue, hopelessness, or difficulty functioning day-to-day. Many people find relief through traditional treatments like medication or talk therapy. But for some, the symptoms don’t lift — no matter what they try.

When Depression Feels Stuck

You may have already tried talk therapy, exercise, and medications, but nothing seems to change. This is known as treatment-resistant depression. The words themselves can sound daunting, but they don’t mean you’re out of options. There are still effective, evidence-based treatments available — and real hope for relief. How therapy can help…

How Therapy Can Help

Whether you’re experiencing depression or treatment-resistant depression, therapy can still provide relief. Together, we’ll focus on:

  • Identifying stuck patterns of thought and behavior

  • Building coping strategies for low motivation, fatigue, and emotional pain

  • Exploring new, research-backed options for treatment that may go beyond traditional approaches

My Approach

I combine ACT, CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, with emerging neuroscience-informed methods that work directly with the brain and body. For some clients, I also provide Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), which has shown promising results for treatment-resistant depression. This work is done in collaboration with — and at the discretion of — licensed prescribers, ensuring both safety and support throughout the process. If you are interested in learning more about my work with KAP, please click here.

No matter how we work together, my approach is always tailored to your needs; compassionate, collaborative, and hopeful.
