Fees
I offer different session lengths depending on the type of therapy, the goals we’re working toward, and the level of support involved.
My goal is to be clear about fees up front so there are no surprises later.
Individual Therapy
50 minutes – $250
This is the standard session length for most individual therapy clients.
Couples Therapy
50 minutes – $250
75 minutes – $375
90–100 minutes – $500
Couples work often benefits from longer sessions, which give both partners the chance to fully share and allow us to work through dynamics without rushing. Many couples find the 75- or 90-minute format more effective, especially during stressful times or when addressing long-standing patterns.
50 minutes – $250
75 minutes – $375
90–100 minutes – $500
For child and teen cases, I generally require at least one parent consultation session before beginning direct work with the child or teen. In some situations, more than one parent session may be recommended before deciding on the best treatment plan.
The initial 20-minute phone consultation is free. Parent consultation sessions are billed at my full clinical rate.
I cannot guarantee that I will take on a child or teen as an individual therapy client following parent consultation sessions. Depending on the situation, my recommendation may be direct therapy with the child or teen, ongoing parent work, family sessions, couples therapy, psychiatric consultation, psychological testing, school-based support, a higher level of care, or another form of treatment.
I am not usually a “drop-off-the-kid-and-I’ll-fix-them” therapist. When I work with children and teens, I often take a systems-based approach that may include parent sessions, family sessions, direct child/teen therapy when appropriate, and practical changes outside the therapy room.
Brief collateral consultation with teachers, school counselors, pediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists, or other providers may be included when clinically appropriate and at my discretion.
More extensive meetings, school meetings, treatment-planning calls, ongoing coordination, lengthy collateral communication, or other work outside the therapy session may be billed at my standard rate.
I do not provide custody evaluations, reunification therapy, parenting coordination, court-involved therapy, or opinions about custody, visitation, parenting time, or legal decision-making.
Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)-informed Work
50 minutes – $250
75 minutes – $375
90–100 minutes – $500
Parent-directed treatment work may be appropriate for certain presentations of child or teen anxiety, OCD, ARFID-related accommodation, avoidance, school refusal, or failure-to-launch patterns.
This work is informed by SPACE, family systems therapy, CBT/ERP principles, and ACT.
Some families benefit from standard 50-minute parent sessions. Other situations benefit from 75- or 90-minute sessions so we have enough time to review recent challenges, plan responses, and practice strategies.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy / KAP Support
Preparation sessions – $250 / 50 minutes
Integration sessions – $250 / 50 minutes
Medicine-session / dosing support – fee varies depending on length, location, clinical need, and prescriber guidance
Lower-dose, therapy-centered KAP support may be offered in extended formats, included 75-minute or 90-minute sessions, depending on clinical appropriateness and prescriber guidance.
Longer medicine-session support is billed at a higher rate because it requires extended clinical time, preparation, and therapeutic support. Fees for extended KAP support will be discussed clearly in advance.
KAP support during a medicine session may take place in my San Marino office, by telehealth, or in some cases at a prescriber’s office, depending on medical and clinical appropriateness. Any decision about dosing location, route of administration, dose, frequency, monitoring, transportation requirements, and medical safety requirements is made by the prescribing clinician.
My strong preference is for ketamine dosing to occur under appropriate medical supervision, especially for higher-dose or more medically complex treatment.
If clinically appropriate KAP support requires travel outside my San Marino office, travel time and related expenses may be billed in addition to the session fee and will be discussed in advance.
Ketamine is a medical treatment. I do not prescribe ketamine or determine medical eligibility for ketamine treatment. Medical evaluation, prescribing, medication management, follow-up appointments, medical monitoring, and any medication-related costs are separate from my psychotherapy fees and must be arranged directly with the prescribing medical provider.
My KAP work is therapy-centered: preparation, therapeutic support when clinically and medically appropriate, collaboration with qualified medical prescribers, and integration afterward.
Insurance and Reimbursement
I am a private-pay, out-of-network therapist.
Many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement from their insurance company for therapy sessions, depending on their plan. I can provide superbills upon request.
Not every insurance plan accepts superbills, and I cannot guarantee reimbursement. I’m happy to provide more information about questions to ask your insurance carrier.

If my fees aren’t a fit
Therapy is a big investment, and it’s important to find care that works for you financially. I regularly refer clients to other excellent options, including:
Open Path Collective — affordable therapy with licensed and pre-licensed professionals
California Family Counseling Center (CalFam) — a training site where I trained myself, offering high-quality therapy at reduced rates (in-person in Encino, or telehealth throughout California).
If you’d like, I’d be happy to help you find the right fit.
