Other Areas of Focus

My primary areas of focus are men’s mental health, depression, OCD, and therapy-centered ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

I also work with several related concerns that often overlap with those areas. These pages are here to help you get a clearer sense of how I think about specific problems and whether my approach may be a good fit.

Child and Teen Therapy and Parental Support

In select cases, I provide therapy for children and teens, as well as parental support. Areas of focus include anxiety, OCD, and depression, as well as helping parents better understand and support their children.

I also provide SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), a parent-directed treatment for childhood anxiety, OCD, and ARFID.

Failure to Launch Therapy

Some young adults want greater independence but feel unable to take the steps needed to move forward. Anxiety, depression, shame, avoidance, disrupted routines, family conflict, and fear of failure can all contribute to a cycle that leaves everyone feeling stuck.

Failure to Launch therapy focuses on understanding the pattern, reducing accommodation and conflict, and creating meaningful shifts toward greater independence, responsibility, and connection. Depending on the situation, the work may involve the young adult, the parents, or the larger family system.

Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety can show up as constant worry, overthinking, perfectionism, physical tension, panic, avoidance, or a persistent sense that something is about to go wrong.

Therapy can help you better understand the patterns keeping anxiety going, build practical tools for managing difficult thoughts and feelings, and increase your ability to tolerate uncertainty without letting anxiety dictate your choices.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy can help partners slow down repeated conflict, understand the patterns they get pulled into, communicate more clearly, and rebuild trust, friendship, and emotional connection.

My couples work is practical, structured, and informed by Gottman Method training. I work with couples around communication, conflict, disconnection, betrayal, premarital therapy, and major life transitions.

Pain Reprocessing Therapy / Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is real. And in some cases, pain can continue even after the body is no longer in danger or tissue damage is not the main driver.

Pain Reprocessing Therapy focuses on helping the brain and nervous system reinterpret pain signals as less threatening. This work may be appropriate for some clients dealing with neuroplastic pain, chronic back pain, tension, or other symptoms that have not been fully explained by structural injury or disease.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Trauma can shape the nervous system, relationships, identity, avoidance patterns, emotional reactions, and the way a person experiences safety, trust, and control.

My trauma-informed work is paced carefully and focuses on safety, stabilization, emotional processing, nervous system awareness, and helping clients understand how past experiences may still be affecting present-day life.

Legacy Therapy

Legacy Therapy offers a structured space to reflect on the life you have lived, the relationships and experiences that have shaped you, and what you want to leave behind.

This work may involve life review, unresolved relationships, family stories, personal values, meaning, regret, gratitude, or creating written or recorded material for loved ones. It can be especially meaningful during major life transitions, aging, illness, or periods of reflection.
